ABOUT ME
Shanae Benito is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) who graduated from her master’s program with a 3.8 in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and a member of Chi Sigma Iota (an international honor society that recognizes professional excellence in counseling) She also is the Shanae Benito Foundation Inc., a 501c3 (DBA: SB Wellness Foundation) non-profit focused on improving the quality of life for BIPOC individuals. She is also the President of Black Clinicians Meet, a Community Organization concentrated on mental health aid, advocacy & empowerment for Clinicians of Color.
In her work as a psychotherapist, Shanae specializes in mental health issues like anxiety, depression, PTSD, and trauma, primarily serving minority women, men, couples, and adolescents, while welcoming all individuals. Her therapeutic approach is TF-MCBT. Additionally, she leads the "Leaders of Tomorrow" Initiative, aimed at educating young adults on mental health and reducing stigma in BIPOC communities and HBCUs.
Fun Facts: She also is also a professional dancer and is still active in songwriting as well.
Other side hobbies: She also is skilled in website design and marketing for small businesses.
